Informercials are filled with Hype. Yes, on a rare occasion you can buy a note at as much as 50% discount - but that is usually only on a small note or one that is severely in default. To buy a 120k good note for 60k is baloney.
The informercials and their high priced seminars, training or consulting are a very poor way to learn the paper business. Most of the true pros and competent educators won't be found on infomercials or running around the "real estate evangelist" or "Circus circuit".
