on march 3rd of 2007 we lost heat our landlord was on vacation. there was no heat from sat night until march 14th out of all those days the landlord said he would only put us up in a hotel for 1 night after seeing that the pipes had froze and burst. in the lease it says that heat and hot water is taken care of by the landlord. after the pipes had froze and burst he told us it was our respnsibility to clean up after tearing the house apart. we then called the fire department whom was very helpful and talked the landlord into renting a hotel till the problem was fixed. the landlord had the heat turned back on but the ceilings were exposed and we have a massive rodent problem. after talking with the landlord he told us to go out and buy plastic. we called the building inspector who also came by to look at the situation and told the landlord he needed to take care of the problem. he still ignored the building inspector but did by plastic to cover the ceiling and fixed our sink. the landlord still chooses to neglect the problems in which both me and my fience spent 16 hours cleaning the house to a more livible state becuase we had nowhere else to go. We have now been served an eviction notice to be out by april 23rd. the reason being becuase we are witholding our rent do to the neglect of the apartment being made livable once again.
