John, I'd search for Mortgages. If your county information is like mine, you'll get a list of all the mortgages recorded during the ranges of dates you've selected for the search. We have about 1500-1800 per month here. Next step (and unfortunately this isn't automated for us here), you have to go through manually and skip over those where the lender (mortgagee) is a bank or other commercial entity. You'll be looking for the mortgagee to be a private individual. Then you should be able to look at the actual document image and read through it to get the mortgagee's address. A few records here don't have that info, most do. Write down the address and send postcards or letters, or do a reverse phone number lookup and give them a call!
