I just got laid off from another company that's about to go under. I'm a software project manager by trade, but really want to do something for myself. I woudl love the opportunity to work on something that i can be fulfilled and successful with. I've been looking over some of these postings and other writings from various websites. The Note business soudns intersting and possibly worth the effort. I guess i have a few questions:

1. I would like to hear any input from anyone that has just started doing this business and veterans Namely, how much time, money effort did it take you in your first year, and what are realistic expected returns in that year?
2. I keep seeing/reading that there's a lot of work invovled in doign this, but don't know what that means. What kind of work is required? Door to door salesman type work? Internet/newspaper search/research?
3. I understand that the majority of yoru work is 'looking' for notes? In general, how is this typically done?
4. Any suggestions on how to get more simple information that would help in making a desicion on whether or nto to get in the Notes business?

I'm not tryign to get answers in order to upstage anyone, but rather I'm very curious and are researching to find out if i really want to get invovled in Notes.

Thanks for any and all assistance anyone can provide!
-Jose
