Hello all,

First I want to say this forum (as well as the PaperGame website) has been very helpful in providing an overview of the paper business.

One thing that has not really been covered (or I have missed it) is the subject of licensing. At what level of involvement, if any, is a real estate license required (I live in Texas).

I am looking for a business I can build from home, to replace my current income when I retire (5 - 7 years from now). I don't have a lot of money to invest (pretty much none, actually) and I am hoping I can start small with "flipping" and build on that. Is that a practical goal or am I living in a dream world?

I am a software engineer in my current life, and admit to knowing nothing about real estate, but I am willing to learn. Any advice, encouragment, or even sensible discouragement would be appreciated.

TIA,
Pat Bibb
