It's been quite a long time!
The short version is that we've been focusing on what has been making money for the last few years (Real Estate buying/selling).
I'm now looking to plant some of those golden seeds that I've had stored away since studying your material in '99. I've thought about you several times in the past few years...hope all is going well with your wife and son.
My question, John, is about the logistics in structuring the notes and DOTs to secure private lender money on a note purchase. I scanned all of your books, and didn't find any details regarding this.
I seem to remember this being termed "hypothecation"...but it's been a while.
We've got access to quite a bit of private funding now, but to date have not purchased any paper.
I've got a note on the table right now in which I need to make a move on. It's a great deal but I need to move quick.
Could you please refresh my memory on this process, or point me in the right direction in your material?

By the way...no paper purchases aside, the knowledge I gained through your seminars and material has been very beneficial even on the RE side. Knowledge of the Time Value of Money has put us way ahead of the pack. Thanks again!
