If you are going to live there, that is different. You would have to be very familiar with their laws, procedures and the potential volatility of the market. It would take some research, beginning with their laws as to foreclosure, what documents they use, etc. Then look into the markets, values and how much fluctuation there is. You could invest safely, but it takes some specific knowledge of the market.
