anyone heard of this trainer?

In a few days I am attending a training class by Jim Sheets and JT Bremlet? Also have had the name kevin Shortell tossed around as a note buyer.
I am cautious since after watching the pre-training tapes by 2 guys Fred and Tom from First Capital Services, a web search showed the company was fined by SEC and back payments in the millions, a large insurance company was fraudulantly named as backers, and the company is going threw forecluser since they "can't pay the money" back via SEC decision.
Need to know I am not walking into the lion's den.
